Selection Process

Role of NTA

  • NTA is responsible for registration of candidates, conduct of the test (CBT), hosting answer keys, inviting challenges, finalizing Answer Keys, preparing and declaring results, and hosting scorecards.
  • The NTA Score of CUET (PG) – 2026 will be valid for admission to the academic year 2026-27 only.
  • Scores and candidate data will be shared with all participating Universities/Institutions.
  • Raw marks obtained in multi-shift papers will be converted to NTA Score using a normalization procedure based on Percentile Score (refer to Appendix V).
  • Candidates must download their Score Cards from the NTA website; no physical scorecards will be dispatched.

Re-evaluation/Re-checking of Result

  • The result will be processed based on the final answer keys verified by experts. No grievance regarding final answer keys after result declaration will be entertained.
  • There shall be no re-evaluation or re-checking of the result.

Admission Process by Universities

  • Merely appearing in CUET (PG) – 2026 does not guarantee admission to any university.
  • Selection and admission will depend on fulfilling the admission criteria, eligibility, rank in the merit list, medical fitness, verification of original documents, and other criteria prescribed by the individual University.
  • After NTA declares the CUET (PG) 2026 result, participating Universities will announce their own counselling/admission schedule and merit lists based on the CUET (PG) 2026 score and their specific criteria.
  • NTA has no role in the selection process, transfer/cancellation/conversion of seats, or refund of fees paid to counseling authorities. All admission-related queries should be directed to the concerned University.
