Common Eligibility Criteria

✅ Eligibility Criteria – Indian Army SSC Tech 66 Men (April 2026)

🔹 Nationality

• Must be a citizen of India, or
• A subject of Nepal, or
• A person of Indian origin migrated from select countries (e.g. Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries) with intent to settle permanently in India.

🔹 Age Limit

• 20 to 27 years as on 01 April 2026
  (Born between 01 April 1999 and 31 March 2006 – both inclusive)

🔹 Educational Qualification

• Passed or Final Year of Engineering Degree in a stream specified in the notification.
• Final year students must:
• Submit proof of passing the degree by 01 April 2026
• Ensure cumulative percentage is above the cut-off fixed by the Army

⚠️ Final year students whose exams are after 01 April 2026 are NOT eligible

🔹 Marital Status

• Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
• Candidates must not marry during training; if they do, they will be disqualified.

🔹 Physical Standards

• Must meet minimum physical fitness requirements before joining (e.g., 2.4 km run in 10 mins 30 secs, 40 push-ups, etc.)
• Must be medically fit as per standards prescribed by the Indian Army

General Selection Process

Selection Process – SSC Tech 66 Men (April 2026)

🔹 1. Shortlisting of Applications

• Based on cumulative percentage marks up to the final year/semester.
• Cut-off varies by engineering stream.
• Final year students provisionally allowed, but must meet cut-off after final results.
• Only one discipline allowed per candidate; no change later.

🔹 2. SSB Interview (5 Days)

• Conducted at: Allahabad, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Jalandhar
• Stage I: Screening (includes OIR test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test)
  → Fail = Sent home same day
• Stage II: Psychology test, GTO tasks, Personal interview, Conference
• Call letter issued via email/SMS

🔹 3. Medical Examination

• Only candidates recommended in SSB undergo full medical test.
• Must meet Army’s medical standards for officers (eyesight, physical health, no deformities, etc.)

🔹 4. Final Merit List

• Prepared stream-wise based on SSB marks only.
• No weightage to higher degrees or past achievements.
• Tie-breaker: Older candidate > Higher degree %
• Candidates in merit + medically fit + eligible → issued Joining Letter

🔹 Step 1: Visit the Official Website

• Go to 👉 www.joinindianarmy.nic.in

🔹 Step 2: Registration

• Click on “Officer Entry Apply/Login”
• If not registered, click on “Registration”
• Fill in basic details (Aadhaar, name, DOB, etc.)
• Use details as per matriculation certificate

🔹 Step 3: Fill Application Form

• After login, click on “Apply Online” under SSC (Tech) entry
• Fill details in the following sections:
• Personal Information
• Communication Details
• Education Qualification
• Previous SSB details (if any)

🔹 Step 4: Review & Submit

• After completing all sections, preview the form
• Ensure accuracy—no changes allowed after submission
• Click “Submit” and take two printouts of the form

• Only one application per candidate is allowed.
• Aadhaar number and 10th certificate are mandatory for registration.
