Common Eligibility Criteria
IDBI PGDBF program, candidates must meet certain criteria related to citizenship, education. Citizenship:
- Must be a citizen of India.
- Or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
- Or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling permanently.
- Or a person of Indian origin who migrated from specific countries with the intention of settling permanently in India.
Educational Qualification
- A graduate in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of India is required.

General Selection Process
The selection process for the IDBI Bank PGDBF program involves an Online Test followed by a Personal Interview. Here’s a breakdown:
Online Test:
- The online test is objective in nature.

- Logical Reasoning, Data Analysis & Interpretation (60 questions, 60 marks, 40 minutes)
- English Language (40 questions, 40 marks, 20 minutes)
- Quantitative Aptitude (40 questions, 40 marks, 35 minutes)
- General/Economy/Banking Awareness (60 questions, 60 marks, 25 minutes)
- There is a penalty for wrong answers: 25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- The online test will be held at various centers across India, and IDBI Bank reserves the right to add, change, or cancel any centers.
- Candidates must download their call letters from the IDBI Bank website after March 28, 2025.
- Candidates will have their IRIS scan/biometric data captured and verified before the start of the online examination.
Personal Interview:
- Candidates who qualify in the online test will be called for a personal interview.
- During the interview, candidates can answer questions in Hindi or English.
- The interview is 100 marks, and candidates need to score a minimum qualifying mark: not less than 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
- Applicants qualifying the personal interview shall be considered for final shortlisting.
Final Selection:
- A candidate should qualify both in the Online Test and interview and rank sufficiently high in the combined marks merit list to be shortlisted for selection.
- The final selection is based on this formula: Final Score = 3/4 of Online Test Score + 1/4 of Interview Score.
- The selection is also subject to being found medically fit by the Bank’s Medical Officer and fulfillment of all other eligibility criteria.
IDBI Bank has the right to modify or amend the selection process, including eligibility criteria. The Bank’s decision on all matters related to eligibility, the selection process, and the number of vacancies is final.
How to Apply for Job
To apply for the IDBI PGDBF program, follow these steps:
Online Application
- Visit the IDBI Bank’s website.
- Open the link “Recruitment for IDBI-PGDBF 2025-26” and click on the “APPLY ONLINE” option.
- Register by choosing the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter your Name, Contact details, and Email-id. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated and displayed on the screen and sent via Email & SMS.
- Use the “SAVE AND NEXT” tab to save entered data if you cannot complete the application in one go. Use this feature to verify the details before final submission.
- Carefully fill and verify the details, as no changes will be possible after clicking the COMPLETE REGISTRATION BUTTON.
- Ensure the Name of the candidate or his /her Father/ Husband etc. is spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets.
- Validate your details and save your application by clicking the ‘Validate your details’ and ‘Save & Next’ button.
- Upload Photo & Signature as per the specifications given in “Annexure I”.
- Preview and verify the entire application form before FINAL SUBMIT by clicking on the Preview Tab.
- Modify details if required, and click on ‘COMPLETE REGISTRATION’ only after verifying that the photograph, signature uploaded, and other details filled by you are correct.
- Click on the ‘Payment’ Tab and proceed for payment, choosing the ONLINE payment mode.
Payment of Fees (Online Mode Only)
- Pay the Application Fees/ Intimation Charges online from 01-Mar-2025 to 12-Mar-2025.

The fees are:
- 250/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates (Intimation Charges only).
- 1050/- for all others (Application Fees and Intimation Charges).
- Payment can be made using Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.
- After submitting payment information, wait for the intimation from the server and avoid pressing the back or refresh buttons to avoid double charges.
- An e-Receipt will be generated on successful completion of the transaction.
- If an ‘E-Receipt’ is not generated, it indicates PAYMENT FAILURE. In such a case, log in again using the Provisional Registration Number and Password and repeat the payment process.
- Print the online application form containing fee details. If it cannot be generated online, the transaction may not have been successful.
- Preserve the hard copy of the system-generated online Application form and e-Receipt for submission during the personal interview, document verification, & pre-recruitment medical test. Do not send the hard copy to the bank.
Image Specifications for Photograph and Signature
- Before applying online, candidates should scan their photograph and signature.

- Must be a recent passport-style color picture.
- Dimensions: 200 x 230 pixels (preferred).
- Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb.

- The candidate has to sign on white paper with a Black Ink pen.
- Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred).
- Size of file should be between 10kb – 20kb.

Left thumb impression
- The candidate has to put his left thumb impression on a white paper with black or blue ink.
- Dimensions: 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e 3 cm * 3 cm (Width * Height).
- File Size: 20 KB – 50 KB.

Handwritten Declaration
- The candidate has to write the declaration in English only clearly on a white paper with black ink.
- Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e 10 cm * 5 cm (Width * Height).
- File Size: 50 KB – 100 KB.
- Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch).
- Set Colour to True Colour.
Important Instructions
