• TET pass (HP TET or Govt. recognized)

TGT (Non-Medical)

• B.Sc. (Non-Medical) with 50% + B.Ed.

Relaxations & Notes

• 5% relaxation in marks (edu. & TET) for SC/ST/OBC/PWD of HP.
• Graduation marks not required for B.Ed. admissions before 29.07.2011.
• B.Ed. via PG (M.A./M.Sc.) with 50% marks is acceptable.
• Qualifications must comply with NCTE norms.

🏫 Schooling Requirement

• Matric & 10+2 must be from institutions in Himachal Pradesh, unless candidate is a bonafide Himachali.

• Convicted of moral turpitude
• Debarred from exams
• Male with more than one wife / female married to a man with another wife
• Undischarged insolvent
• Found influencing the recruitment process

General Selection Process

Selection process for TGT posts under HPRCA, Hamirpur:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT) / Written Screening Test

• Total Marks: 100
• Duration: 2 hours
• Questions: 200 MCQs (½ mark each)
• Pattern:
• 140 Questions: Subject/Field-related (as per R&P Rules)
• 60 Questions: General Knowledge (including HP GK), Current Affairs, Logic, Science, Social Science, English & Hindi (Matric level)

2. Provisional Answer Key & Objections

• Uploaded on HPRCA website post-exam
• Objection Fee: ₹200 per question
• Objection window: 7 days

3. Final Answer Key & Result

• Reviewed by expert panel
• Final key will be basis for result
• No rechecking/re-evaluation allowed

4. Document Verification

• Based on original certificates
• Eligibility verified strictly as per rules
• CBT admission is provisional; rejection possible at this stage

5. Final Selection & Waiting List

• Recommendations sent to Appointing Authority
• Waiting list (category-wise) valid for 1 year
• No right to appointment from waiting list unless a selected candidate doesn’t join

• Only one application per post

4. Apply for TGT Post

• Choose post (TGT Arts/Non-Medical/Medical)
• Select preferred exam district
• Review and confirm details

5. Pay Application Fee

• Pay via Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking
• Fee varies by category

6. Final Submission

• After payment, application is complete
• Download & print the submitted form

7. Document Verification

• Bring printed form + original & self-attested documents at verification stage
