• Govt. Engineering Colleges & HPTU campus: ~600+
• Private Engineering Colleges: ~1000+
• Total B.Tech/B.Arch seats (approx.): 1600+

🔹 B.Pharmacy

• 23 institutions listed
• Most with 60–100 seats
• Total B.Pharmacy seats (approx.): 1400+

🔹 MCA

• 3 institutions listed
• Total MCA seats: 180

🔹 MBA

• 8 institutions listed
• Total MBA seats (including sponsored): ~550

🔹 MBA (Tourism & Hospitality Management)

• 1 institution (HPTU)
• Total: 30 seats

🔹 M.Sc. Physics & Environmental Sciences

• 30 seats each at HPTU campus
• Total: 60 seats

🔹 M.Tech

Common Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for appearing in HPCET-2025 for various courses:

🔹 B.Tech (Direct Entry)

• 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics + one of: Chemistry/CS/Biology/IT/etc.
• Min. 45% marks (40% for reserved categories)

🔹 B.Pharmacy (Direct Entry)

• 10+2 with Physics & Chemistry + one of: Math/Biology
• Min. 45% marks (40% for reserved)
• Must be 17 years old by 31 Dec 2025

🔹 B.Sc. (HM & CT) / BHMCT

• 10+2 in any stream from a recognized board
• Min. 45% marks (40% for reserved)

🔹 MBA / MBA (T&HM)

• Bachelor’s degree (min. 3 years)
• Min. 50% marks (45% for reserved)

🔹 MCA

• Bachelor’s degree in any stream (preferably with Math in 12th or graduation)
• Min. 50% marks (45% for reserved)
• Note: Bridge course required if no Math background

🔹 M.Sc. Physics

• B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry & Math
• Min. 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved)

🔹 M.Sc. Environmental Sciences

• Bachelor’s degree in any Science/Engineering/Medical/Pharmacy stream
• Min. 50% marks (45% for reserved)

✅ Note: Final year students are also eligible to apply, but admission is subject to meeting eligibility at the time of counseling.

General Selection Process

Selection Process for HPCET-2025:

🔹 1. Entrance Exam (HPCET-2025):

• Conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU)
• Mode: Offline (pen & paper)
• Includes MCQs with negative marking (course-specific pattern)
• Marks used to prepare merit/rank lists

🔹 2. Result Declaration:

• Tentative date: By 21.05.2025
• Available on the official website: www.himtu.ac.in

🔹 3. Counseling:

• Conducted separately after results
• Online application form for counseling will be available in May 2025
• Includes document verification & seat allotment
• Based on merit/rank, category, and choices filled

🔹 4. Final Admission:

• Provisional until eligibility and documents are verified
• Classes begin: Last week of July / 1st week of August 2025

How to apply and download the admit card for HPCET-2025:

🔹 How to Apply:

1. Visit: www.himtu.ac.in
2. Register: Create an account with your email, mobile number, and basic details.
3. Login: Use the User ID and Password sent to your email.
4. Fill Application Form: Enter personal, educational, and exam-related details.
5. Upload Documents: Photo, signature & required certificates (JPEG/PNG, <100 KB).
6. Pay Fee:
• ₹1600 (General) / ₹800 (SC/ST/BPL) per course
• Online payment via Net Banking/Card/UPI
7. Submit: Check all details before final submission.
8. Download Confirmation: Save the application form PDF after successful payment.

How to Download Admit Card:

1. Visit www.himtu.ac.in
2. Click on HPCET-2025 Admit Card link
3. Login using Application No. & Date of Birth
4. Download & print your e-Admit Card (A4 size)
5. Check that all details (photo, exam center, date) are correct
6. Carry admit card + valid ID proof to the exam center

Application Fee

• Mode: Online payment (Net banking / Card / UPI)
• Non-refundable under any circumstances

Age Criteria:

• For B.Pharmacy (Direct Entry):
  Must be 17 years or older on or before 31st December 2025
• For other courses (like B.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Sc., etc.):
  No specific upper age limit is mentioned, but candidate must meet educational eligibility
