Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) has released a recruitment notification for Group “A”, “B” and “C” posts across multiple roles including Research Officer (Ayurveda/Pathology), Assistant Research Officer, Staff Nurse, Assistants, Translators, Medical Laboratory Technologists, Stenographers, UDC/LDC, Pharmacists, Drivers, Laboratory Attendants, Library Clerk, Security In‑Charge and extensive MTS categories, with online application and fee payment from 01.08.2025 (10:00 hrs) to 31.08.2025 (18:00 hrs), and a modification window from 03.09.2025 to 05.09.2025. Common Eligibility Criteria
Key Eligibility (Selected Posts; follow notification for full post-wise details):
- Research Officer (Pathology):
- Essential: MD in Pathology from MCI recognized University/Institution; enrolment on Central/State Medical Council.
- Research Officer (Ayurveda):
- Essential: MD/MS (Ayurveda) from CCIM recognized University/Institution; enrolment on Central/State Register of Ayurveda/ISM.
- Assistant Research Officer (Pharmacology):
- Essential: M.Pharm (Pharmacology) / M.Pharm (Ay) / M.Sc (Medicinal Plant) with Pharmacology specialization + 1 year experience after PG.
- Staff Nurse:
- Essential: B.Sc. Nursing; OR Diploma in GNM with 2 years experience in teaching/research hospital; Registration with State Nursing Council.
- Assistant:
- Essential: Degree from recognized University/Institution; proficiency in Computers.
- Translator (Hindi Assistant):
- Essential: Master’s in Hindi with English, or Master’s in English with Hindi, or other combinations as per notification + recognized Diploma/Certificate in translation or 2 years translation experience.
- Medical Laboratory Technologist:
- Essential: Bachelor’s in Medical Laboratory Science + 2 years relevant experience.
- UDC:
- Essential: Degree of a recognized University.
- LDC:
- Essential: 12th pass; Skill Test on computer: English 35 wpm or Hindi 30 wpm (10 minutes).
- Pharmacist (Grade‑I):
- Essential: D.Pharm (Ay)/Diploma in Pharmacy with 2 years experience in recognized Ayurvedic hospital; OR B.Pharm (Ay).
- MTS (Disciplines):
- Essential: ITI (relevant) or equivalent vocational certificate; OR Matriculation with 1 year experience in respective discipline.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: +5 years; OBC‑NCL: +3 years; PwD: 10/13/15 years as applicable; other relaxations as per Government norms.
(Reservation including PwD and Ex‑Servicemen is applicable as per Government of India directives; candidates must upload valid certificates in prescribed format.)
General Selection Process
Selection Procedure:
- Group “A”:
- CBT (70 marks) + Interview (30 marks); bilingual (English/Hindi); negative marking −0.25 per wrong answer; normalization if multi‑shift.
- Interview shortlist ratio: 1:5 (1 vacancy), 1:4 (2 vacancies), 1:3 (3+ vacancies); tie‑breakers as per age, subject marks order, qualification chronology, and aggregate.
- Group “B” and “C”:
- CBT only (100 marks); negative marking −0.25; no negative marking for MTS; minimum qualifying: SC/ST/PwD 25%, others 30%.
- Post‑specific skill tests where applicable (e.g., Stenography, Typing for LDC, Translation descriptive for Translator); skill tests qualifying in nature.
- CBT Syllabus:
- Post‑wise detailed syllabus provided in notification, covering subject knowledge, research methodology/biostatistics, general awareness/reasoning/IT as applicable.
Exam Cities
- CBT will be conducted across 40 cities including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh/Mohali, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi & Greater Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla, Thiruvananthapuram/Kochi, Varanasi, and others.

- Apply online in English only via CCRAS website (CAREER tab); complete all three steps: Account Creation, Profile Submission, and Post‑wise Application with fee payment.
- Registration Steps:
- Step 1: Create Account with personal details; verify Mobile/Email via OTP; receive Reference Number and password.
- Step 2: Login; fill demographic/category details; upload common documents (photo, signature, caste/PwD/ESM, qualifications, etc.).
- Step 3: Apply for post(s); provide post‑specific details and documents; pay applicable fees online.
- Documents to Upload:
- Photo (20–50 KB, 200×230 px, JPG/JPEG), Signature (10–20 KB, 140×60 px), valid certificates (OBC‑NCL/EWS per date norms), DoB proof, experience, NOC (if applicable).
- Payment:
- Online only via SBIePay/other gateway by Debit/Credit/Net‑banking/UPI; ensure status shows “Payment Received”; keep receipt.
- Modification Window:
- 03–05 Sep 2025; limited editable fields; fee ₹250 per modification attempt; changes in Step I not allowed.

- Note: Bank charges + GST extra as per payment mode; Fee once paid is non‑refundable.
Age Criteria:
- Maximum Age: Group “A” RO posts: 40 years; Group “B” typical: 30–35 years; Group “C” typical: 27–30 years (post‑wise as listed above).
- Relaxation: SC/ST +5 years; OBC‑NCL +3 years; PwD 10/13/15 years; other relaxations (CG civilian employees, Ex‑servicemen, J&K domicile, women categories, sports persons) as per Govt. rules.
- Cut‑off: Eligibility (age/qualification/experience) determined on closing date of application.
