Overview of the Notification
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a major recruitment drive for the post of Senior Executive Trainee (SET) in Telecom and Finance streams. This is a Direct Recruitment (DR) opportunity for eligible Indian Nationals. A total of 120 tentative vacancies have been announced (95 for Telecom and 25 for Finance).
Selected candidates will be placed in the E-3 pay scale (Rs. 24,900 – Rs. 50,500 – Pre-revised) and will undergo a comprehensive training program. The selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification. The online registration process starts on 05 February 2026 and closes on 07 March 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the post of Senior Executive Trainee (SET), candidates must meet the following age and educational qualification requirements as on the closing date of application (07.03.2026).
1. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 Years

Exam Pattern
The examination will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).

Selection Process
The selection methodology for BSNL SET Recruitment involves the following stages:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): An all-India competitive exam to shortlist candidates.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates based on merit (marks in CBT) will be called for verification of eligibility documents.
- Medical Examination: Candidates must pass the Company’s Medical Examination as per BSNL standards.
Final Merit List: Prepared based on the total marks obtained in Part-I and Part-II of the CBT.
Salary, Bond & Training
Pay Scale
The Senior Executive Trainee (SET) will be recruited in the IDA Pay Scale [E-3] of Rs 24,900 – Rs 50,500/- (pre-revised). Allowances and benefits will be as per company rules.
Training & Probation
Candidates will undergo training for 52 Weeks (One Year). This includes Managerial Training (13 weeks), Functional Stream Training (13 weeks), and On Job Training (26 weeks). The probation period is Two Years.
Service Bond
All recruited candidates must execute a Bond of Rs. 9,00,000/- (Rupees Nine Lakhs) to serve BSNL for a period of at least FIVE YEARS from the date of their appointment.
