Overview of HPU CDOE Admission
The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), formerly known as ICDEOL, at Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla, has released the admission notification for the Academic Session beginning from January 2026. HPU is a NAAC Accredited “A” Grade University.
Applications are invited for admission to various Under-Graduate (UG), Post-Graduate (PG), and Diploma Courses. Students can apply online through the official portal. The courses include B.A., B.Com, M.A. in various subjects, M.Com, MBA, and several diploma programs. The MBA program is duly approved by AICTE.
The online registration portal opens on 19th January 2026, and the last date to apply for most courses is 28th February 2026.

Candidates must ensure they meet the minimum eligibility requirements before applying.

| B.A. / B.Com 1st Year | Passed 10+2 examination or equivalent from a recognized Board/University. For B.Com, Commerce stream candidates are given preference, or those with Math/Economics at 10+2 level. |
| Master of Arts (M.A.) | Bachelor’s Degree in any stream (with the subject of study for M.A. as one of the subjects) with required credits OR Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (provided they pass the qualifying exam). |

Application Process
Admissions are strictly online. Follow these steps to apply:
- Visit the official admission portal: https://nadmissions.hpushimla.in.
- Create your ABC ID (Academic Bank of Credit) via
www.abc.gov.in. - Create your DEB ID (Distance Education Bureau) via
deb.ugc.ac.in. - Register on the HPU portal using your Mobile No. and Email ID.
- Fill in personal details, educational qualifications, and upload required documents (Photo, Signature, Marks cards).
- Pay the application fee online.
- Hard Copy Submission: It is mandatory to deposit the hard copy of the form along with self-attested photocopies of documents to the concerned branch by hand or post.
Note: Students must register on the ABC Portal and create a DEB ID before registering for fresh admission.
