Eligibility Criteria

While the detailed eligibility criteria will be specified in the individual notifications for each exam (PO, Clerk/CSA, SO, RRB), the general expectations based on previous years are:

1. Educational Qualification

  • PO/MT & CSA (Clerk): A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. of India.
  • Specialist Officers (SO): A 4-year Degree (Graduation) in relevant Engineering/Technology or Post Graduate Degree in relevant fields.
  • RRB Office Assistant: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • RRB Officer Scale I, II, III: Degree in relevant discipline with experience (for Scale II & III).

2. Age Limit (Tentative)

  • PO/MT: 20 to 30 Years
  • Clerk (CSA): 20 to 28 Years
  • Officer Scale I (RRB): 18 to 30 Years
  • Office Assistant (RRB): 18 to 28 Years

Note: Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates is applicable as per Govt. rules.

The registration process will be strictly through online mode only. There will be a single registration for both Preliminary and Main examinations where applicable.

Exam Pattern (Expected)

Based on standard IBPS procedures, the exams are conducted in two or three phases:

  • Preliminary Exam: Objective type tests usually comprising English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. (For RRB: Reasoning and Numerical Ability).
  • Main Exam: Detailed objective tests and descriptive test (for PO). Subjects include General/Banking Awareness, Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis, etc.
  • Interview: Conducted for PO/MT, SO, and RRB Officers Scale I, II, III. No interview for Office Assistants and CSA (Clerks).

The selection process varies by post:

  • PO/MT & SO: Prelims -> Mains -> Interview.
  • Clerk (CSA) & Office Assistants: Prelims -> Mains. (Final selection based on Mains marks).
  • RRB Officers: Prelims -> Mains -> Interview (Scale I). Single Exam -> Interview (Scale II & III).
