Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria as of January 01, 2026.

1. Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 25 years
  • Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/01/2001 and not later than 01/01/2008 (both days inclusive).
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST: 5 years (up to 30 years)
    • OBC: 3 years (up to 28 years)
    • PwBD: 10 years (GEN/EWS), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST)
    • Widows/Divorced Women: Up to 35 years (40 for SC/ST)

2. Educational Qualification (as on 01/01/2026)

  • You must have passed 10th Standard (S.S.C./Matriculation) from the concerned State/UT under the Regional Jurisdiction of the Recruiting Office to which you are applying.
  • Important: The candidate should be an undergraduate as on 01/01/2026. Graduates and candidates possessing higher qualifications are NOT eligible to apply.

3. Language Proficiency

  • Candidates applying to a recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e., know to read, write, speak, and understand the language) of the State/UT falling under that office.

Steps to Apply

  1. Visit the link “Recruitment for the post of Office Attendant – PY 2025” on the RBI website.
  2. Register by clicking “Click here for New Registration” and entering Name, Contact details, and Email-id.
  3. Upload Photograph, Signature, Left Thumb Impression, and Hand-written declaration.
  4. Fill in the details carefully and verify using the “Save and Next” button.
  5. Pay the fees online using Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets.
  6. Take a printout of the e-Receipt and the Online Application Form.

Selection Process

The final selection involves the following stages:

  1. Online Test: Objective type test with 120 questions.
  2. Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Candidates shortlisted from the online test based on merit will be called for LPT. This test is qualifying in nature. Candidates not proficient in the official/local language will be disqualified.
  3. Document Verification: Verification of eligibility criteria (Age, Education, Caste, etc.).
  4. Medical Fitness: Appointment is subject to being declared medically fit.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will receive a handsome salary package.

  • Basic Pay: ₹24,250/- per month.
  • Pay Scale: ₹24250 – 840 (4) – 27610 – 980 (3) – 30550 – 1200 (3) – 34150 -1620 (2) – 37390 – 1990 (4) – 45350 – 2700(2) – 50750 – 2800 (1) – 53550.
  • Gross Emoluments: Approximately ₹46,029/- per month (including allowances).
  • Perquisites: Bank’s accommodation (subject to availability), Medical facilities, Reimbursement of education expenses, GTLI, etc.
