Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Pashu Mitra vacancy, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

1. Educational Qualification

  • Matriculation (10th Pass): Candidate must have passed 10th class from a recognized Board/School situated within Himachal Pradesh.
  • Note: The condition of passing 10th from HP schools is not applicable to Bonafide Himachalis.

  • Must be a Bonafide Resident of Himachal Pradesh.
  • Must be a Normal/Neighboring Resident of the Gram Panchayat/Urban Local Body falling under the jurisdiction of the concerned Veterinary Institution where the post is vacant.

3. Age Limit (as on last date of receipt of application)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 45 Years

4. Other Requirements

  • Must be able-bodied, physically fit, and of sound mind.
  • Must be of sound character.
  • Knowledge of Animal Husbandry activities, customs, manners, and dialects of HP is desirable.

Application Process

The application process for HP Pashu Mitra is entirely OFFLINE. Follow these steps carefully:

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Download the Form: Get the prescribed application format (Annexure-A) from the official website or the link provided below.
  2. Fill the Form: Fill in all details in your own handwriting using Blue/Black ballpoint pen.
  3. Attach Documents: Attach self-attested photocopies of:
    • Matriculation Certificate (Mark sheet & Proof of Date of Birth).
    • Bonafide Himachali Certificate.
    • Certificate of Resident of Local Gram Panchayat (Parivar Register Copy/Aadhaar).
    • Category Certificates (SC/ST/OBC/BPL/EWS/Widow/Landless etc., if applicable).
    • Experience Certificate in Animal Husbandry (Annexure-B), if any.
    • Character Certificate.
  4. Envelope: Enclose the form and documents in an envelope. Also include two self-addressed stamped envelopes.
  5. Submission: Submit the application to the Office of Senior Veterinary Officer (SVO) of the respective Sub-Divisional Veterinary Hospital where the vacancy exists.
