Common Eligibility Criteria

General Eligibility Conditions (for all female candidates):

1. Gender: Only female candidates are eligible.
2. Educational Qualification:
• Must have passed B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, or B.Sc. Hons. Nursing.
• Must have completed the degree from a recognized institution with at least 55% aggregate marks.
3. Registration:
• Must be a Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM) with the Himachal Pradesh State Nurses Registration Council, Shimla or any other State Nursing Council.
4. Work Experience:
• Minimum 1 year of work experience either before or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing and after B.Sc. Nursing, calculated from the date of registration.
5. Age Limit:
• No upper age limit as per INC Notification No. 11 of 2023 dated 21 August 2023.

In-Service Quota Eligibility (for Government Nurses):

• Must be a regular/contractual/ad-hoc nurse working in Govt. of Himachal Pradesh.
• Must have completed minimum 5 years of service by the last date of submission of the application.
• In-service candidates cannot apply to private colleges.
• Must submit Service Certificate and NOC as per Annexure-6 at the time of admission.

Direct Quota Eligibility:

• Open to Bonafide Himachali/Domicile candidates, or children/spouse of H.P. Govt. employees and employees of autonomous bodies funded by HP Government.
• Candidates must fulfill academic and registration criteria mentioned above.
• For Management Quota in private colleges, domicile is not required, and both Himachali and Non-Himachali candidates can apply.

General Selection Process

1. Entrance Test
• Conducted by: Atal Medical and Research University (AMRU), HP
• Date: 11 June 2025
• Time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Mode: Offline (pen & paper)
• Pattern:
• 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
• Each question carries 1 mark
• No negative marking
• Medium: English
• Syllabus based on B.Sc. Nursing curriculum
2. Merit List & Result Declaration
• Based purely on marks obtained in the entrance test
• Minimum qualifying marks:
• 50% for General & EWS
• 40% for SC/ST/PwD
• No minimum marks required for private colleges.
3. Resolving Ties in Marks
   If two candidates score the same marks:
• Higher marks in subject-wise sections of the test will be considered.
• If still tied, older in age will be given preference.
4. Counselling Process
• Conducted through online centralized counselling by AMRU.
• Includes:
• Round 1
• Round 2
• Mop-Up Round
• Stray Vacancy Round (if needed)
• Seat allotment is done based on merit-cum-choice of the candidate.
• Original documents are verified at the time of admission in the allotted college.

   3. Registration
   • Use a laptop or desktop (recommended browser: Chrome/Firefox).
   • Enter personal details: Name, DOB, email, mobile, etc.
   • Create a login ID and password.
   4. Fill Online Application Form
   • Personal Details
   • Educational Qualifications
   • Category & Quota details
   • Choose your preferred exam centre (Nagrota, Hamirpur, Mandi, or Shimla)
   5. Upload Required Documents
   • Recent Photograph (Max 40 KB, white background, 80% face visible)
   • Signature (Max 20 KB, black ink on white paper, no capital letters)
   • Category Certificate (if applicable)
   • Work Experience Certificate (if applicable)
   • Valid Registration Certificate (RN/RM)
   6. Payment of Application Fee
   • General: ₹3600
   • SC/ST/EWS: ₹2000
   • PwD: ₹0
   • Fee once paid is non-refundable.
   7. Final Submission
   • Click on “Final Submit” after completing the form and payment.
   • Download the PDF copy of the submitted application for future use.

   • Admit cards will be available online from 4 June 2025.
   • No corrections allowed after final submission.
