Total Number of Seats

The total number of seats available for the 2 Years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) – 2025 can be calculated by summing the approved intakes of both Government DIETs and Private Affiliated Institutions listed in the prospectus.

Total approved intake for the Government DIETs is 900. The prospectus lists the following Government DIETs with their respective approved intakes:

The total approved intake for the Private Affiliated Institutions is 1550. The prospectus lists numerous private institutions with varying approved intakes, totaling 1550 seats.

Therefore, the Grand Total number of seats available for the D.El.Ed. CET 2025 is the sum of the seats in Government DIETs and Private Affiliated Institutions, which is 900 + 1550 = 2450.

Common Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the 2 Years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) CET-2025, candidates must meet certain criteria as outlined in the prospectus. The key eligibility requirements are as follows:

• Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with at least 50% marks.

• Minimum Essential Educational Qualifications for D.El.Ed. CET for session 2025-27 require the candidate to have passed 10+2 with at least 50% marks. Candidates appearing in the 10+2 (or its equivalent) examination are also eligible provisionally.
• Age Limit: The minimum and maximum age limit will be 17 to 32 years as on the date of conduct of D.El.Ed. CET-2025.
• The date of birth should fall between 29.05.1993 and 29.05.2008 (both dates inclusive) for the General category and its sub-categories.
• For Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Physically Handicapped Persons, and Children/Grand Children of Freedom Fighters, the upper age limit will be relaxable by five years as per the existing rules and instructions of the State Government issued from time to time. This means the upper age limit for these reserved categories is 37 years, and their date of birth should fall between 29.05.1988 and 29.05.2008 (both dates inclusive).
• There is no upper age limit for Ex-Servicemen candidates.

How to Apply for Application

To apply for the Common Entrance Test (CET) for the 2 Years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) – 2025

• Step 1: One-Time Online Registration

• Visit the official website: www.hpbose.org.
• Look for the link related to “CET / Vacancy” or “D.El.Ed. (CET) – 2025” and click on it.
• Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar Number in the appropriate box.
• Select the desired subject to apply for, which is “D.El.Ed. (CET) – 2025”.
• Select your Qualification, as required for CET D.El.Ed..
• Enter your Name, Father’s/Mother’s Name as recorded in your Matriculation certificate strictly in CAPITAL LETTERS. Do not use Shri, Mr., Mrs., Miss, etc. before names.
• Remember your Application Number as User and Date of Birth as the password for future login.
• Step 2: Category
• Select your appropriate Category (i.e., GEN, SC, ST, OBC & EWS).
• Select your relevant Sub-category, if applicable. Choose from the options provided based on your category. You will need to provide the corresponding supporting document issued by the concerned competent authority.
• The category and sub-category declared during the online application submission shall be final and cannot be changed under any circumstances.
• Step 3: Date of Birth
• Enter your Date, Month, and Year of Birth as per the English calendar and as recorded in your Matriculation Certificate. Ensure it is entered in the format as follows: 05-05-1990 (for example).
• Step 4: Contact/Mobile No.
• Enter your 10-digit Mobile Number in the appropriate box.
• Step 5: E-Mail ID
• Enter a valid and active E-mail ID. The board encourages candidates to apply online well in advance without waiting for the last date of submission. Application forms received through fax/post shall not be entertained, and the board will not be responsible for such incomplete applications.
• Step 6: Gender
• Select your appropriate Gender (Male/Female/Transgender).
• Step 7: Appearing Status
• Select the appropriate option, i.e., Passed/Appearing for the 10+2 examination. Candidates appearing in the 10+2 examination for the session 2024-25 are also eligible to apply provisionally but must provide proof of passing with the required percentage at the time of counseling/admission.
• Step 8: Nationality
• Select your appropriate Nationality.
• Step 9: Candidate’s Address
• Mention your complete Correspondence Address in capital letters with Pin Code. Married female candidates should write their husband’s name in the first line of the Correspondence Address if they want to ensure postage of allotment letters.
• Step 10: Bonafide Himachali
• Select the appropriate option (Yes/No).
• Step 11: District/Revenue Sub Division to which belongs
• Select your appropriate District and Revenue Sub Division. You will need to select the corresponding code for your Revenue Sub Division, as the list and codes are provided on page no. 14-15.
• Step 12: Preference Regarding Examination Centre, District & Sub Division
• Select your preferred Examination Centre District and Sub Division and the corresponding code. The list of Examination Centres, Districts, and Sub Divisions with their codes is available on page no. 14-15.
• Step 13: Upload Images
• Photograph: Upload a scanned image of your latest passport-size photograph in jpg format. The size of the photo must be less than 20 KB, and the image dimension should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height) only.
• Signature: Upload a scanned image of your signature on white paper with a blue or black pen in jpg format. The size of the signature image should be less than 15 KB, and the image dimension should be 3.5 cm (length) x 1.5 cm (height) only.
• Step 14: Payment of Fees
• The fee can be remitted online through Payment Gateway by using Net Banking or Debit Card/Credit Card.
• The fees for D.El.Ed.- CET- 2025 Examination are:
• ₹ 900/- for General and its Sub Categories.
• ₹ 600/- for SC/ST/OBC/PHH/EWS categories.
• A Late Fee of ₹ 500/- (in addition to the regular fee) will be charged for applications submitted after the last date and up to 29-04-2025.
• Step 15: Print Out of Confirmation Page
• After successful submission of the online application and payment of fees, you will be able to print the Confirmation Page.
• Candidates are advised to check all the particulars entered before final submission. You are also required to take a printout of the Confirmation Page and keep it for future reference.

Application Fee

Application fees for the D.El.Ed. CET- 2025 examination are as follows:

• ₹ 900/- for General and its Sub Categories.
• ₹ 600/- for SC/ST/OBC/PHH/EWS categories.

A Late Fee of ₹ 500/- (in addition to the regular fee) will be charged for applications submitted after the last date and up to 29-04-2025.

Age Criteria
